Generative Programming: Methods, Tools, and Applications by Krzysztof Czarnecki,

Generative Programming: Methods, Tools, and Applications by Krzysztof Czarnecki,
-- Building generative models: overcoming the limitations of traditional object-oriented modeling. -- Aspect-Oriented Programming, metaprogramming, next-generation code generators, and more. -- Includes illustrative sample code in C, C++, and Java, and three detailed, start-to-finish case studies. Generative Programming (GP) offers the promise of moving from "one-of-a-kind" software systems to the semi-automated manufacture of wide varieties of software -- essentially, an assembly line for software systems. GP's goal is to model software system families and build software modules such that, given particular requirements specs, highly customized and optimized intermediate or end products can be constructed on demand. This is the first book to cover Generative Programming in depth. The authors, leaders in their field, introduce the two-stage GP development cycle: one stage for designing and implementing a generative domain model, and another for using the model to build concrete systems. They review key differences between generative modeling and processes used for "one-of-a-kind" systems. Next, they introduce key GP concepts such as feature models, and demonstrate "generic programming" techniques for creating components which lend themselves to easy combination and reuse. The book also introduces Aspect Oriented Programming, which allows developers to solve key recurring problems in traditional O-O development; and presents metaprogramming techniques for building powerful program generators. Three detailed case studies demonstrate the entire generative development cycle, from analysis to implementation.

God and the Generations: A Report by the Evangelical Alliance by David Hilborn,
God and the Generations: A Report by the Evangelical Alliance by David Hilborn,
God and the Generations highlights the importance of generation-based analysis for contemporary Christian life, and offers a constructive critique of existing work in the field. In defining generations, this critique suggests that evangelicals have failed to address the cultural and philosophical assumptions underlying the generation models they have borrowed and have not yet placed these models in hermeneutical and theological perspective. God and the Generations seeks to bridge this gap at both conceptual and pragmatic levels. Offering a more explicitly biblical account of generational structures, it then applies this to key issues in family life, Church order, leadership and growth, and suggests that intergenerational relationships can facilitate the understanding of God's purpose for His people and the world. -- Interspersed with helpful statistics, table and appendices. -- Thought provoking conclusions, recommendations and questions for further study. -- Considers how age, worldview, lifestyle and historical experience interact. -- Addresses the needs of the emerging generation, the younger generation and the older generation.

Key generator - A key generator is used in many cryptographic protocols to generate a sequence with many pseudo-random characteristics. This sequence is used as an encryption key at one end of communication, and as a decryption key at the other.

Television character generator - Television character generators are graphics computers that are specialized in particular ways for use in television production. Computer programs like Photoshop and Illustrator can create computer graphics with fonts, however character generators have hardware to provide a key signal, or an alpha channel, which is essential for integrating the graphics into the other equipment used in television production.

Keygen - A keygen (truncation of "key generator", also known as "keymaker") is a small program that will generate a key or serial/registration number for a piece of software. It is typically used as an adjunct to software piracy.

Menu key - In computing, the Menu key a key found on computer keyboards. It is typically found to the right of the keyboard, between the right control key and windows key (or between the right control key and right alt key).
